Long Beach Harmony Project

Many great programs are offered to 菠菜网lol正规平台 students and many are life-changing experiences.  Such is the case with the Long Beach Harmony Project.  The Long Beach Harmony Project has as its goal to encourage developing minds through quality music instruction.

The program was introduced to 菠菜网lol正规平台 by then LBPD Chief Jim McDonnell as a way to keep students focused on music as opposed to anything else that may impact students while off of the school campuses. 

Now LBPD, Robert Luna is carrying the torch and bringing much needed positive attention to inner-city youngsters.

The Long Beach Unified School District covers the costs the music instruction, the instruments, music books and buses.  The Long Beach Education Foundation is working with the Long Beach Harmony Project Team to raise money for the items 菠菜网lol正规平台 cannot pay for.  These items are critically needed.  They make a difference.  Students are provided music lessons for four hours per week.  One after school lesson each week and a three-hour music teaching seminar on Saturdays.

100% of every dollar donated to the Long Harmony Project will go to the program for specific uses.  Each student needs a special shirt or blouse to wear during performances.  On Saturdays, the students must be fed.  None of us can learn on an empty stomach.

Our annual goal for this program is $32,000 to cover costs associated with self-selected students in second, third, and fourth grade from 4 schools.  These costs provide food and clothing for these courageous students.  We hope you will consider donating to this unique program.
